Couldn’t make it, but sounds like Walsall were worthy of at least a point. Fair play to them, they’ve had a strong start too.

Still unbeaten but we can’t keep drawing at home if we fancy top two.

we should have been at least 2 up before their goal though!

Fair result. We did miss some sitters (again) but Walsall were worth a point. We missed Dougall and Potts.

If we were more clinical we'd have won the game. Wasted chances have cost us today.

It’s a long season, missing three first teamers due to call ups and injury, and the striker bought to replace the previous starter not yet fit to play - might look back on it as a decent point.

From afar it is disappointing though as the game could easily have been won.

Two unbeaten sides, stats pretty 50/50 and it wasn't just us that missed a couple of glorious chances. Don't think they were much in it today between us and them.

We know Barnsley are a young side.
As such they will get better as the season progresses.
In saying that - players that generally cost between £500k and £1 million should ON PAPER be winning these games.

Defensively I thought we were excellent. Looked solid at the back.
Up front we had no composure. Snatched at too many chances. Can't believe how we missed chances we blew.

    Mowatt
    McGeehan
    Thiam
    Linsey
    Moncur?

    Also to come back Potts.

Best save of the game was by Walton. Miss of the game was by Walsall. I don't agree with your analysis.

If you mean the header in the first half it was a good height and not really to any side of Walton so while I can say it’s a good save, I’d be disappointed if he didn’t make it. I think the save their keeper made on Pinnocks header at the end of the first half was much better. Through a body of people and low into the corner. Reyt save.

Got to agree they had the miss of the game but Victors chance was a glorious one also.

My point wasn't that they had better chances, more that they were about equal and we can't claim that our missed chances cost us the game, because they could make exactly the same point. A draw seemed fair I reckon.

The save of the game was by their keeper in the first half. We also created the better chances, two of which we really should have converted. Had we taken just one of them we'd have won the game. Just my opinion of course.

Moncur freebie out of contract wasn’t he?

Mowatt & Lindsay we’re both supposedly in the 250-300k mark.

I’ve never heard a figure quoted for Pinnock.

Heard anything between 500k & £1m for both Thiam & McGeehan.

No idea on Moore & Woodrow

No Moncur was bought the old undisclosed fee, reports were about 500k at the time I think

I think it’s fair to say if we had taken the chances we had when we were 1 nil up the game would have been done but overall it was pretty even and Walsall had their chances too and good ones.
