3-0 (with a brace from Mowatt despite him being slower and more pedestrian than a sloth according to oxford fans on their forum)
It looks like it's going to have to be a backs to the wall effort by the reds tomorrow as only one oxford fan has predicted they will lose on the corresponding thread on their forum.... looks live the 'massives' are coming.
They finished 8th last year so hopefully we will get a idea where we are. but i am presuming the goal posts are in the same place as in the championship and they are the same size and not higher and wider ? if this is true these same players seemed to have trouble getting shots most of the time anywhere near the right side of those posts. people have mentioned about previous manager, off the field activity takeover etc ,but not sure what that's got to do with players not being capable of shooting straight cant see us scoring more than 1 or 2 lets hope we can get off to a good start ,trying to be optimistic going into the first game, even if its probably widely misplaced confidence he he .
They are starting with a team made up of comparative newcomers who will need time to gel. For that reason I go 2-0 to the Reds. Moore is quoted as saying in yesterdays Chronicle he wants to remain at Oakwell and help fire us back to the Championship. I think he will open his account this afternoon. We were reportedly once interested in their keeper Eastwood. He plays this afternoon, so it will be very interesting to compare him with Davies. Come on you Reds.
I think we'll lose, new system for the team to learn, and l've no idea if we'll hit the ground running. Think we will be promoted though once we get into our stride.
