    Yep - I’m the same - I like 8+ hours.
    If I don’t get enough sleep I’m useless I can’t do a thing.
And even when I’ve had enough sleep when I wake up I can lay in bed for a long time.
Bed is my natural habitat - I’m at my best while in bed.

As for this weather - it’s great !!!
It wouldn’t bother me one bit if it got hotter.
What bothers me is temperatures below 5 degrees. I hate cold. I can’t function in the cold.

DJing up & down the country I regularly do 2 x 18 hour days , with 4 hours sleep in between. I'm 53 & it is not good for me.
I'm not jacking it in though. I will deal with the depression, fatigue, unsociable hours, missing Barnsley games in August, September & May & whatnot. It is who I am. If it kills me, so be it.

Most of my job is weddings in the summer. I've had people in their twenties ride along on gigs with me & they can't hack it.
It is knackering. Worst bit is 3 hour drive home, after you have loaded all the gear in, trying to keep your eyes open, then back to the lock up & unloading. Final bit is a couple of trips up 60 steps to my flat with records / digital DJ stuff.

As I say, not complaining. I f-ing love it. The sleep depravation is cruel though.

I own a record label, produce in my own studio and DJ on radio stations plus run events with some of the worlds biggest DJs.

It’s my guilty pleasure, it definitely doesn’t help me sleep.

I’ve got 4 events booked in across Europe in the next few months.

Last event I finished DJing at nearly 7am and I started at 10pm.

It’s definitely not for the feint hearted!

Sometines i get 7 or 8 hours but rarely. When u have a cat a dog and a 3.5 yr old girl its alot harder. Being honest i suffer from general anxiety disorder and wen its bad i cant sleep i panic a bit wen i cant get to sleep as gotta be up for work at 7 and a driving job which makes u tired. Sometimes take a sleeping pill which can help but due to GAD ive had about a dozen nights of 0 sleep in last 2 years its very upsetting

    Shift work

    Body clock fooked

23 year of it and still not used to it.

Nights in summer is nigh on impossible to sleep due to temperature light and noise. 6 hrs kip maximum.

Days I am knackered all day. Getting up.at 4.45am.isnt normal. Again 6 hrs kip at best.

Late shift. Can't do much on a.morning.and by the time I get home my family are winding down whilst my body clock is still on wide awake time. Slightly more than.6 hrs but usually get woken up.by wife n kids getting ready for work school and college.

Also a stress, anxiety and depression sufferer but the.meds help a little. Actually glad i shared the last bit with you as not many folk i know are aware of this.

Well at least last night was a bit cooler and fresher than what we've had this last few weeks. I've been having the opposite to most people on here. The warmer it is the more I sleep. It just whacks me out and I'm sleeping longer than usual. This morning I woke up at my usual time but we have more hot weather to come. I'm looking forward to autumn.
