Everyone did themselves proud, no matter what the knuckle-draggers like Nudger want to try and say. This is a great young squad. They CARE about playing for England, they play as a TEAM. Not just proud of the Barnsley connection, but proud of every one of those players that have put that shirt on over this tournament. Bring on Euro 2020. We’ll bang it. Thank you Gareth Southgate for bringing some pride and passion back to the country. God Save the Queen.
Croatia were a tiny bit better today but England really have nothing to be ashamed of. You've got a great young team there who can go on to win big things in the future. The doom and gloom people with their unrealistic expectations will always be there, but perhaps they're just so disappointed that they post such silly things...?
Croatia had more world class players than us in the end. We should have won it in the first half. No complaints about anyone in the team, or the manager. No heroes, no villains. Great World Cup. Only complaint Is about Roy Keane as a pundit.
