    The anticipation and the energy just wasnt there was it when that dangerous cross came over towards him. He looks unfit and/or overweight, and always seems like hes not interested. Hazard was their star man and deserved better protection from the ref, and for whatever reason De Bruyne just didnt seem to click as much tonight as a lot of them did against Brazil.

    Exactly, the cross was world class and it deserved somebody on the end of it. With a little more aggression and awareness Lakaku would have got his head on it. He was very disappointing tonight.

    Maybe his replacement Batshuayi would have attacked it, and gone for a diving header. And as for the one who was left at home, I dont think Benteke is any better than Lukaku to be honest.

    Just inconsistent.

    Don’t think you can be overrated if you play that well against Brazil in a World Cup quarter final.

    I’d rank Harry Kane for example as a better player & if my club could only sign one it’d be Kane every time but if I could pick one of the two at their best for a one off game then I’d definitely go Lukaku.

    As someone else stated, he was unplayable against Brazil. France stopped his supply line and Umtiti matched him physically.
