    I’m not missing the chance of a last ever visit to Bootham Crescent. Distant memories of occasional visits there, though we rarely played them as we were mostly above them in the pyramid.

    It’s a shame that York have fallen so far and it will be good to see the ground one last time. I hope a few hundred Reds fans turn up. Looking forward to seeing The Beast playing against us as well. Just hope he doesn’t crock any of our star players :)

    His career didn't really take off till he switched to striker once he had left us....

    On one episode of his podcast he mentioned he nearly re-signed for us when Robins was manager but the deal was scuppered by Preston at the last minute. Originally a fee of £500k had been agreed, only for Preston to then want more money which we wouldn’t agree on. Then 6 months later, the following January, he signed for Cardiff for a mere £100k. Says it’s his biggest regret in football not coming back to us.

    Can’t say I ever seen him play against us so that will be a novelty tomorrow. Can’t see him getting much change out of our super defence though :)
