Lost the control a bit, but the players from neither team aren't making it easier. So far he hasn't made any totally wrong decisions in my opinion... Apart from [controversial opinion incoming!] not booking Stones perhaps?

He got a yellow for that. It wasn't exactly a Zidanesque headbutt...

No, Zidane headbutted him in the chest. Their dirty lovely person rammed his nutt into his chin. Not sure which of the 17 laws says that can ever possibly result in a yellow card. Neither can mark clattenburg by the way.

A USA Ref and NZ 4th Official for a important game, the ref has lost control of the game, the Colombians are cheating and trying to referee the game. This is deeply upsetting to watch. Will the corrupt FIFA Organisation do anything?
PS I'm not a England fan.

Yellow card for Lingard. Quick to book England players but Columbians get away with all sorts.

I'm 100% sure that the Colombian guy would have been sent off if there had been any more power in his "headbutt". I'm sure that deliberately kicking an opponent in the head is also a red card offense, but I can still see Stones running on the pitch (just like he should be).

    Absolute balls up from trippier
Ducked down and tried heading it up instead of standing still

Yes he should had headed it forwards when on the line.
Annoyingly I actually care more because I dint want Columbia to win after their performance
Suffering for not killing the game off with our other chances

Should never have come to this. We've been so comfortable throughout.

Very little creativity in open play though.

I thought "here we go" when Dier was brought on and we started to go deep, but thought we'd be OK.

Also very naughty was their player kicking up the penalty spot.

The Colombian football federation should be fined heavily after that.

Irrelevant now but Italian TV showed it a few times and there was definite contact with Lingard's foot which caused him to trip himself up - definitely not a dive -and the defender was nowhere near reaching the ball.

The ref was too weak for the columbians outrageous display in that game.....he should have took a tougher line when they were chasing him and berating vertually every decision (anti football).
Fifa...if they respect the game and actually want to give our game back to the people..as a show piece and for the decency of football.they need to have (another) sit down and come up with stiffer penalties to protect the officials!
Imho only a points deduction would suffice as fines are genrally pathetic.
England have now been victim of 3 teams of spoilers....thank God... in general we have kept our composure.
Var is there to be used...so introduce some rules and use the damm thing to clear this blight on our game.
Quite how henderson managed to get booked in the madness of the penalty was bizzare.
They were even scuffing the pen spot .....while the others were abusing the ref!!!
Truely disgusted and happy we passed the test.

Dont disagree with you. I thought it was a pen in real time and the replays did show enough contact to knock Lingard off balance but there have been far clearer penalties not given by VAR so I would have been surprised if that one had been overturned, and very miffed if a pen like that had been given against us by VAR. Fortunately VAR wasnt used on Stones for his stupid scrape of the boot - in another game that could even have been a red - though as headbutting is only a yellow in our matches I guess thats all he would have got
