Hahahahaha Dont, i have a vision now of him stopping, stamping his feet, bottom lip stuck out, repeating 'it IS my club, IS IS IS'
As the days go on he reminds me more and more of an notorious poster but with a slightly different facade.
football is nothing without fans. If you support a club then it is your club because you have it in your heart. Me and the other 9,000 fans were here a long time before Chien Lee even heard about us and we will be cheering on the club a long time after sells up. It is MY club and it is the club of everyone who truly supports Barnsley F.C
If you have the club in your heart I suggest you stop throwing hissy fits every two minutes.....stop slagging off our players.....stop criticising every decision....and get behind them. I'm utterly bored of your constant moaning, sensationalist claptrap and negativity. Try posting something positive, you never know it might make you feel better.
He’s a custodian like we all are seeing how it’s all of us that keep the club going with the money we pump into it in ticket, merch and beverage sales etc so technically, it is his club like it is for all of us hence he’s entitled to his opinion.
I think when you're a club like us you have to think outside the box to do anything more than yo-yo between L1 and the Champ. You've got the folk who want one of these well-known journeymen managers - like Cotterill, Ferguson, Grayson etc - guilty of wanting to go down that road in the past, but they are the type that might get you up playing sh*t football with mercenary footballers and you resign yourself to becoming Burton or Rotherham for the next decade. Then you've got them who want a club legend, there isn't many of them about and they've either never managed or have an absolutely shocking record as a manager. Personally I'd have gone for a manager who finished top six in L1 or L2, I'm sure they'd have come if they knew they'd get some backing. Yes this is the Steve Parkin/Keith Hill model - hasn't worked well for us but I'm convinced it's the option available to us that offers the most potential, we're never gonna get an established Championship manager simply because we can't give them the backing and they'd probably be sh*t with no money, just mini-Redknapps most of them, yes McCarthy didn't spend much on transfers at Ipswich but he'll no doubt have been able to throw around 10 grand a week contracts like we do £750 ones. I don't think Morais was a bad shout, managerial record was poor yes, but worth a gamble given his experience, Mourinho is a winner and wouldn't have dragged him with him to several of Europe's elite clubs. That being said, you're not gonna get Championship players to be successful at playing in the style of a Champions League club. We don't get any respect from the opposition, in the Championship at least, everyone expects to beat us, it will have been a pretty alien environment for Morais. I think this guy, provided he doesn't change his mind before being announced, is a positive move though. Seems to have a good reputation in Germany, could possibly have got a second tier job there. It shows a lot of ambition to move to another country and he's at a point where a failure could be a big set back in his career so he must be confident in what he can do and also have some assurances from our board that he will be backed. Glenn I suspect I was a "custodian" before you were even in short trousers. It's MY opinion that there are people like yourself and ogc who revel in running down the club at every opportunity. Day in day out. Nothing is ever right in your eyes. It's repetitive and boring but as long as you keep talking nonsense people will keep calling you out on it. You're not the only ones entitled to opinions.
