I think that Mick has made his choice. He probably wouIdnt want a head coach position anyway. Personally I don't feel it would be the right move now. He doesn't really fit the "young and hungry" criteria we have quoted over recent years. Mick has had many successes in his career and has nothing to prove in management. So maybe he's not looking for such a big task at this stage of his career. He was and is a legend at Barnsley fc and maybe he is happy to leave it as it is, where he is welcome at his home town club at any time. Unlike others who have burnt their bridges (Morgan, Winnal and Hecky come to mind)
Agree to some extent but i think with Mick's track record he could afford to take 6 months to a year off and wait for another championship job as opposed to coming to a league one club. He's also expressed reservations about managing us before so can't see how much will have changed.
