    What made the moneyball movie so good was that the initial plan looked disasterous, and the O’s kept losing games.

    The movie of MoneyBall 2 based on Barnsley’s rise from Relegation to League 1 to champions of Europe will be all the more dramatic for this initial blip.

    This is all part of the Hollywood Plan. The disloyal Hecky (played by Daniel Day Lewis) jumping ship, Morais (Will Ferrell) losing the plot when he is accidentally offered the job of manager when he turned up for the IT job. Next... Mick McCarthy (Clint Eastwood) riding in to clean up the mess.

    It’s going to be Epic.

    Sounds like a winner pal, I’m now absolutely convinced that this was the plan all along.
    They could even have a prequel where we pretend the players have no bargaining power and we press gang them into signing new contracts. This would however lead to a sense of grief and loss in people to rob them of their god given purpose of mentioning January 17 every 12 minutes. Or maybe another side plot where a young ambitious Irish lad chooses to play for a Yorkshire town he’s no affiliation with instead of the best club in England’s 2nd city on 27k a week.

    My guess is Billy Elliott will come in as fitness coach....the first team squad will become part time male strippers...for charity of course...and the team will be played onto the field by a Brass Band....complimented by a Kestrel hovering above the centre spot.

    Jackie Chan to play Chien and give it a martial arts twist. He’d get main billing along with Brad Pitt still playing Billy Bean but not actually appearing in the film.

    The daft thing is that no one has mentioned smashing our wage structure either last summer or in January for Bradshaw. If he bags 10 goals in the first 2 months then goodness *******

    Brilliant! I can proper imagine Will Ferrell in a scene as Jose, hysterically begging the players to 'BELEEEEEEEEVE' on his knees in an overboard Iberian accent...

    Everything looks to be in ruins when cheeky Scouse fan favourite and star player Adam Hammill (Ewan McGregor) leaves the club with a heavy heart. But fortunes are soon turned and the club set on a path to glory when CEO Gauthier Ganaye (Javier Bardem) persuade the best in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo (Sylvester Stallone) and Lionel Messi (Michael Caine) to end their careers in South Yorkshire and help the club escape League One.
