Any recommendations? Never been Pride park before. Plan on getting in at station at 11. Seems like most folk say we'll get directed to the Harvester....

Harvester is only pub on way to ground from station. There are a few pubs near to station on the city side but probably doubtful you'll be allowed to head that way.

Hopefully not. There's a couple of pubs at the end of the street if you turn right outside the station.

Pride Park is one of those soulless places - new build in the middle of a load of other new builds.
Best to stay around train station then get a taxi up there

Brunswick Inn near station if you like decent beer , not sure it will be open before the match though , worth a visit on way back

Thanks all. Looks like Brunswick inn might be a good shout if it's open and we can escape the police escort.

Shouldn't have any problems getting to the pubs on the city centre side of the station, we've always managed it even in groups. The Tiffany Lounge at the end of Midland st heading straight away from the station tends to get away fans in. Cheap and small but does a job. The Royal Telegraph further up towards the Intu shopping centre is a great pub. Food, beer garden and pool tables live football etc. Perhaps one for after the game.

The two times I've been (13/14 and last season) there were plenty of Barnsley shirts in there. They were sat quietly though, so it might just be the rowdier ones they turn away
