He didn't. The contract was signed weeks ago but not publicised.

granted. i'll tweak the wording accordingly.

however i don't think it's possible to have a worse example of trigger happy short termism, than announcing signing a new contract on the friday, and asking to leave on the monday..

I truly believe in showing patience (which, hopefully, leads to stability) with the manager/head coach. The fact that Paul Heckingbottom decided to ditch these values he claimed to have when they became inconvenient to him, doesn't mean I have to follow suit.
Also, being passionate and emotional about the club goes hand in hand with being a Barnsley supporter for me and I'm happy to continue with it. Others can do as they wish. I'm not going to try and dictate what they should or shouldn't do, but neither am I going to allow what's gone off this past week to alter my views of how I think our club should be run.

Showing patience in both recent instances, especially the most recent one has led to a more chaotic outcome than if the board had acted themselves when they should have and therefore been in control of the outcome and the rectification of the situation.

For me, the only blind faith on offer now is renewal. If results aren’t up to scratch, no more context or excuses, GET RID

As I said, old mate, just because others have lowered their standards & values, doesn't mean I will.

That’s your right mate, as it is mine.

Once bitten, twice shy. I’ve busted my ballacks defending him, arguing with folk and all for nought. It won’t happen again.

Saying that, in that case I don’t care who takes over. I’ll accept relegation but if we aren’t challenging in L1 I’d expect a change to be made.

Regardless of whether it was weeks, days or hours between signing and leaving, it doesn't show much in the way of commitment when you're still looking for a way out rather than concentrating on the job you've recently signed up to.

Once again, I urge the Board to do something special, and bring Mick home.

Would Mick McCarthy join Barnsley just to be a Coach instead of a Manager. ? I happen to think he wouldn't.
Unless the board change the remit, we're only likely to attract candidates with coaching experience which to
my mind means they will be lower profile as opposed to someone with extensive FL experience which is what
I truly think we need at this moment in time. Danny Cowleys name has cropped up. He played non League football
and managed Concord Rangers and Braintree Town . He took over at Lincoln in 2016 and until this season he combinedthe Managers job with his role as a PE teacher at school in Essex. Lincoln only went full time in August 2017, so even
though he has enjoyed some success, he's not got the necessary experience we are looking for IMO.
The job description limits the type of candidates we are able to attract. Of all the names put forward so far, Paul
Simpson looks the most likely and the best qualified/ experienced to fit the bill as far as I'm concerned.

It must be inserted in to the contract of who ever becomes our new manager that he must drop Bradshaw, split up Williams and Gardner and give mahoney a kick up the arse. That will also guarantee him success.

No more anti Bradshaw stuff from me now as I'm boring myself with it, unless he plays against Burton then the new manager can get ready.
