I know its going to be a hard pill to swallow we look like we are going to be relegated.

This is what supporting a team from a small town involves especially if you are punching above your weight.

Having supported the reds for more than 40 years I have experienced some dreadful seasons and some amazing ones. All we can do now is get behind the team and hope we can rebuild and come back fighting.

Like most on here I thought the takeover would have had some impact over the January period. For the moment the jury is out I will wait and see.

Yes its a hard pill to swallow, but its all part of supporting a small team. Lets not forget we were at wembley twice in 2016. Yes the team was sold but this is how the game rocks.

When you have stood in the pouring rain on a Tuesday evening watching us play Workington Town, scrapping it out to avoid the 4th division re selection process, you will get where I am coming from. COYR.

We aren’t doing anything like punching above our weight at the moment. We are on life support.

It's a bit early to be giving up. I'm sure Hecky and the players aren't.
Just seen the sign at the Leicester ground on MOTD - Foxes Never Quit. Neither should we, however **** it seems at the moment.

We were in danger of being involved with the 4th division re-selection process in the 66-67 season and that was before we signed Barrie Thomas and Johnny Evans in the November so had plenty of time to put things right so I suspect if you remember that era you, like me, have been watching the Reds over 50 years not 40.

I started watching the reds in 1972/73. If I recall correctley we finished mid table in the 4th Division. My point is that anyone who has followed the reds over the last few decades will understand that this is how football goes you have to be able to take the rough wigh the smooth.

    Exactly
We have team that’s struggling for form and a very good head coach who is a local lad and fan to boot.
He is just starting out on his coaching career and will make mistakes/wrong decisions etc but will come good in the longer term imo.
I like you and many others have witnessed far more distressing situations over the years but never expected them to last

Nothing personal to anyone, but these threads are insane. We're not even in the bottom three and there still 48 points to play for. We're miles away from being resigned to relegation. Miles away.

Lets grow some cojones & get behind the team. It has been a poor season, mainly because recruitment last summer was lopsided.
That said we have some excellent players, like Lyndsey & Pinnock & a few that have excellent potential, but are not quite there yet.
There are half a dozen struggling teams & we are one of them. We could go down, that was always a possibility this season. I think McBurnie & Maloney may give us the cutting edge we are lacking, but time will tell.
