You love making assumptions about how the club operate, who goes where etc. I’d be surprised honestly if Ganate went to France to meet him. It’s not as ridiculous as other claims you’ve made, but it’s definitely not a ‘surely’ You seem to always want to give unlikely reasoning behind why we have a CEO from France or assuming something stupid like the new owners picking him before even having talks with the club. Has it not occurred to you that he was just the best man for the job and his nationality had nothing to do with it? You’re living in a fantasy world.
Well with Oxford turning down Barnsley’s offer for their goalkeeper, this French lad turning round and going home,it does not put our club in a good light for other would be signings in this window.
I remember Kevin Phillips coming to the club as a free agent and failing to agree personal terms. He then signed for West brom and they got promoted.
What’s likely to have happened is he’s tipped for his medical, he’s probably even passed it but in the meantime his agent has been touting him around other clubs and other clubs are saying they will pay more.
Why do you jump to conclusions & believe them ? you are either very immature or not very bright , you havn"t a clue whats happened so why spout your drivel as if you are stating facts , you are just guessing , so please chill
Really could be any number of scenarios some of which mean both parties are equally guilty of innocent or that one side has been disingenuous or maybe it was just one of those things. We'll probably never know! Anyway f'im and move on I say.
Just a guess, but I think he might have failed a medical/been rejected by the club and now be acting the big man on twitter to try and make it look like it was his decision. The way he’s acting is just so unprofessional it’d be career suicide for him to assert those comments if it wasn’t part of some kind of act of bravado. What club wants to take a punt on someone that will be that childish if it doesn’t go through?
Maybe it was explained to him how hard he would have to work and he didn't fancy it? Might have been a larger dose of George Moncur syndrome where he thought he was guaranteed a place without having to earn it.
I thought we agreed with him a 1 year deal worth £10k a week then WBA came in last minute and offered him the same deal and he opted for them so he didn’t have to move his family.
Could be literally anything nudger. He could have come of here and because of the speculation about it another club or two have done a bit of research on him and contacted his agent so even though he was keen hes decided to sit tight for a while and see what he can get. He could have met hecky and the squad and just had a bit of a feeling he wasn't going to fit in. It happens. He might have simply got to Barnsley and not liked the town. Nothing to be embarrassed about, we are a northern former mining town which is generally quite cold and dull. Personally I quite like it here but some prefer big cuties and some prefer warmer more holiday style areas. Can't blame someone who comes from another country deciding he doesn't want to be in a new place somewhere out of his comfort zone. It's probably none of those but it could be anything and it doesn't necessarily mean there is anything wrong with the club
Didn’t a story emerge in the summer about a player not wanting to join the club after finding out how much would be expected of them? I’m sure once Hecky heard that he was glad the player made the decision for him. At the end of the day it’s not only the player getting a feel for the club it works the other way too. Without knowing all the facts how can it be assumed the blame is on the club and the player ran a mile?
It's very sad that when something like this happens, and there are various conclusions we could jump to, but the first one is "it'll be the clubs fault". We're all meant to support the club aren't we? Why hold them in such low esteem?
I’ve only heard one comment directly from the club and that came in PH’s press conference this morning. PH confirmed he was in the country etc. I believe the story was broken by French media. Gone are the days of surprise signings.
Damnit!!! I even saw that autocorrect typo and changed it. Must have changed it back. The sneaky ******* phone
