Not that birthdays are especially important to me - far too old for it to matter any more - but it would have been nice for my team to at least turn up today. All I saw were shadows flitting round the pitch and when one of them actually managed to touch the ball it went to the opposition most of the time. Let's be fair though - Leeds were an appalling side to watch. Yet another example of "gamesmanship is all" in football. It's just awful having to watch teams like this, especially when they waltz off with the points. Anyway enough negative thoughts for now. I am being taken out for a nice meal soon and expect to come home in a much better mood than I did this afternoon. I might write up my thoughts tomorrow but, like Tuesday night, I'm not sure I can be bothered. Not like me to feel so disheartened by watching my football team but this week is trying my patience. Oh and one more thing - I left ten minutes early. I never do that. Says it all really....
It always ruins my birthday, and easter, and christmas, and thanksgiving whenever we lose to Leeds. In other words, I hate it when we lose to them whatever time of year it is lol. Btw my birthday is in late June so Ive never seen us Tykes play on that day, but England do often have big WC & EC matches every 2 years or so.
Was my birthday today as well. Lost just like last year when they moved the game to Friday. A pattern is beginning to emerge
Left 10 minutes early, I never do that. !!!!!!! Well you wont be able to say that anymore hand your season ticket in.
