Brought a tear to my eye. I was worried it wasn't going to happen as the Villa fans were particularly loud coming up to it and obviously the mood in the ground wasn't the best due to the scoreline. However, once it started, the Villa fans joined in with the lights, stopped their chanting and began applauding and our fans gave a standing ovation for the great man. Very moving. Well done to everyone concerned and best wishes to Patrick.

I was watching on Sky and it came across really well, although it wasn't really dark enough for the best effect. The close up of Patrick on Sky set the tears off, proper ones as well, not just welling up. A proud advert for Barnsley, its people and its football club, regardless of the score line and the result. Well done everybody.

Also seemed to put a stop to the second phase of handbags in the corner of the ponty. Great tribute.

Villa fans also kept quiet whilst the ex players were being introduced, shame their knobheads had to take it out of the advertising hoardings.
