    The only way to survive these days is to make money. Parachute payments have utterly skewed everything in our league and even they are getting outstripped by the stupidity of clubs in giving players what they demand in terms of wages.
    The income generated by our gate receipts doesn't bring us close to being able to compete with this madness I'm afraid.

    In the midst of league 1 players going for upwards of £5 million, and clubs like PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona and the Manchester clubs throwing £100million's around, is £18 million for Andre Grey really that remarkable.

    I heard this morning that Liverpool have turned down £90million for Philipe Coutinho, who for me is a good but not great player.
