My first has to be Darren Barnard's cross field pile driver on 28 th November 1998 in the 7-1 rout against Huddersfield Town. My second was Neil Thompsons cross field Exocet from outside the box in front of the East Stand in a 4-0 win against Charlton Athletic on 12 th April 1997. I've seen some peaches over the 30 years supporting the Reds but another standout for me was a goal against Sheffield United in April 1999 not that it was spectacular but for what happened to the lovely people from S2. Step forward the one and only Craig Hignett. I was sitting in the West Stand lower concourse near to where the scoreboard is now almost level with the Kop which housed the Blades fans. They were sat there wearing those hideous green fluorescent away shirts they wore that season. The clock was ticking down on a keenly contested 1-1 draw when right in front of the United supporters with a couple of minutes left Higgy got the ball. BANG as true as an arrow he fired the ball beyond the keepers reach for a 2-1 win to the Reds. I don't know if you've ever been to Alton Towers.? There was a ride there called Ripsaw. It used to hoist the punters high into the air and then suddenly drop them forward and then lower them vertically into a stream of water jets that were being fired up from the ground.! When the ball hit their net it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Around 2,500 Blunts suddenly lurched forward as though someone had thrown a switch as though they were on Ripsaw at the same time as letting out a collective " argh" . It was absolutely brilliant. Still makes me smile every time I think of it to this day.
Brian Howard against Cardiff. Probably the next best goal after the Barnard one. Sent from my iPhone using Barnsley FC BBS Fans Forum
John Hendrie v man u fa cup Barnard's v Huddersfield Odijayi v chelea fa cup Also enjoyed George williams last season.v posh Just a few of mine but too many to pick from
Difficult to keep it to 3. But I'll go with Barnard v Huddersfield, Thompson v Stoke, and one that I've never seen any tv footage of - Steve Cooper scoring a 35/40 yard chip at home v Sunderland in 1989. Just clipped the underside of the bar on its way in. Think it was Tony Norman in goal, and we won 3-0. Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
One of the goals I remember most was Owen Archdeadon in the cup vs Leicester. Around 1991 if I were to guess. A very young Julian Joachim scored a beauty for Leicester that looked to have won it. My mate had to get back to Leeds so had already gone by the time Archdeacon bettered it. Difficult though to imagine I'll ever see a better goal than Barnard's. Complete one off.
1st Nicky Eaden against Sheffield united 2nd Brian Howard against Liverpool 3rd Neil redfearn against palace Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Already knocked Swansea and Brighton out of the cup then City all Division one teams that season and all relegated that season
So many great goals for so many different reasons when you think about it. Great memories looking forward to the reds providing more next season.
1. Darren Barnard vs. Huddersfield Town 1998; 2. Paddy McCourt vs. Middlesbrough 2013; 3. Trevor Aylott vs. Brighton 1981.
1) Angus MacDonald vs Wednesday 2) Angus MacDonald vs Blackpool 3) Angus MacDonald's nearly goal against Burton. The overhead kick. Sent from my WAS-LX1A using Tapatalk
I'd go for the same 3 but a Trevor's and Paddy's the other way round ( though I think sentiment played a part in that). Sent from my iPad using Barnsley FC BBS Fan Forum mobile app
Favourite or best? I have random favourite ones in nothing matches. Like one that Joe Joyce bobbled in against Portsmouth ( I think) just because it was Joe and he never scored. Or Malcolm Shotton's wind assisted effort v Sunderland. Or Winnall's against Walsall just because of how they made me feel. Pretty much every goal Brendan O' Connell scored. Angus against the Wendies last season. Favourite best is a different kettle of salami. Sent from my iPad using Barnsley FC BBS Fans Forum
