Me too. Remember we beat them summat like 4-1 . They'd been scoring for fun in their League games
and it was tipped as a possible Cup upset but we won very comfortably.

Did Higgy score a hat trick in this one?

They brought thousands... filled the away end and north side of old west stand. A long way to get knobbled big time.

He did CT with Brucie getting one as well. As has been said over 17,000 at the game it was February 1999 so
it was the 5 th Round. Went out 0-1 at home to Spurs in the Quater final and as someone said Ginola got their goal.
There were 18,00 plus at that game.

Following season under Bassett we ended up top scorers in the league and were in the play off final against Ipswich
    at the old Wembley Stadium.

There were loads of them on the old forum, more than I can ever remember for away fans, telling us how they were bigger than us and going to beat us blah blah.

Aye. The bloke in front of me had quite a lot of money on 3-0 to us, Higgy first scorer. Every time we went forward he was willing us to miss. I still remember everyone mobbing him when our fourth went in, while he just stood there looking miserable!

Was it 4-1 or 5-1, I seem to remember Craig Hignett & the new signing Mike Sheron being involved in the goals somehow. I might be wrong!!

Finished 4-1. A Higgy hat-trick and a lovely strike from Brooooce. Jason Roberts scored a late goal for them.
