    I think all sports should follow pole-vaulting's example and just agree not to bother. That way everyone can be World Champion. Barnsley FC, champions of the world.

    You make it sound like they hadn't been toe to toe all competition and just not bothered! I think it should be shared personally, going back down heights seems pointless!

    Shame that Jake Wightman couldn't defend his title. We need all the help we can get because the London 2012 legacy looks over already. I wouldn't hold out too much hope for Paris next year.
