And why hasn't there been a decision on Diaby yet? We've missed him for half a season already. Guilty until proven innocent?

Do you know of what Marlon, oddly enough a similar but slightly different thought occurred to me.
What if they’ve seen that Wigan are likely to survive even with a deduction and decided to wait as they thought it might disrupt the natural order of results without.

Some non-entity ex-tennis player and a bloke from the Jockey Club, both from London, plus the disaster that is Rick Parry.

Add in reps from six clubs, including Derby fairly unbelievably, given their record. We ain't gonna get much of a favour from Fleetwood Town either!

    https://www.efl.com/-more/all-about-the-efl/efl-board/

All in all, a third of the reps are north-west based and none from Yorkshire, despite Yorkshire clubs making up about 15% of the EFL.

Could be but seems a bit pointless when the rules state that It’s a 12 point deduction for entering admin, so it’s not such a secret to upset the norm as everyone’s expecting it so not really unbalancing results only giving Wigan more of an incentive to win games I expect ,
My cynical view is that if Brum or Boro end up in last relegation spot and a points deduction saves them then it will be applied if not and Wigan are saved without the points deduction they will be applied next season sealing little old Barnsley, Luton or Charltons Fete.
My suspicion of the EFL is well founded with fines for bigger clubs and points deducted for smaller clubs over the years.

Yeah you sort of in a round about way said what I was getting at. Another way to see it if they applied a deduction now and let’s say SW are in and around bottom 3 it gives other clubs more to play with, where if the bottom 3 are cut adrift less to play for.
Wigan will always be different as the penalty is clear and it’s Wigan!!

So we have a Derby director on there who has a vested interest in letting Wednesday off the hook since his own club are guilty of a similar offence. Would be kicked off the panel if it was a jury.

They're doing one of 2 things:

Waiting to see what the maximum points deduction is that wouldn't relegate them, or

Waiting to apply the points deduction from the start of next season.

Both options are out of cowardice - a sense of not wanting to piss off the "bigger clubs" and to minimise the threat of litigation. I'd piss myself if they bottle it and there was some way for us to pursue an injunction to stop the league restarting until it's sorted.
