He was booked for it, it wasn’t missed. Can’t change a decision retrospectively, McGeehan was missed at the time.
I watched the Wigan commentary version....they kind of dismissed it as a "coming together" and said it was late but unintentional. Intent does not matter these days....it was reckless and out of control....9 out of 10 refs give red for those. Plus wasnt that mcgeehan thing on sky snd it was them who kept banging on about it?
I thought McGeehan was booked if he wasn’t then you’re probably right , that referee should be stood down rest of season ,terrible decision imo
The one most like Mcgeehan was Sibley against West Brom. The west brom player had hold of his legs with his legs, but he kicked out after the whistle went, rather than let the ref deal with it. Got a red card but that was overturned. Wouldn't have been if it was little old Barnsley
