We have just lost to reading. We were very poor and that worries me because we are going to face some good teams from like Brighton, Village and Newcastle. I wanted the win so badly (I'm sure most of us did) and I just wonder what the mindset of the players will be going into the game against Brighton . The fans were great vs reading but we lost. What are your thoughts on this?? I'm not saying I think we will lose but I'm just want to know how you think we will do in this run of tough games.

No we weren't we were poor compared to our normal standards in the 1st 45 minutes that was it, it cost us, we will probably lose to Brighton but at worst we'll drop to 7/8th and have some winnable fixtures coming up

Don't agree we were poor. The game could easily have gone the other way. That's football. Reading are a streetwise side who had some pace. Crucially, they got the breaks - Davies needlessly conceding the penalty and us hitting the woodwork on at least two occasions. The result will have brought us back down to earth, and we can go again now. We have a good chance of beating Brighton on Saturday. They are not a hugely impressive side. Not saying that that's the likeliest outcome, but we do have a good chance.

As for Villa, we can't be complacent but we should have the beating of them. Di Matteo hasn't come close to sorting out their problems yet. Newcastle will be more difficult. They are getting stronger as the season progresses and they adjust to life in this division. The shock defeats will mean that Rafa will be on his players' case. That's my take on it all.

There are no easy games in this league its not pub league now. To say we were poor is harsh. More like reading were good and then even with 10 men defended well. Small margins imo if davies doesn't have that rush of blood, and we actually close swift down instead of looking for the foul. I don't know if we will win lose or draw at Brighton. I thought wolves derby and qpr would beat us and I had a nice suprise. Cheer up were still 4th

As Hecky has said, when we lose (which is inevitable) we'll just try and go win the next one. Mindset will be exactly the same.

My thoughts are we lost. That's it.

Bigger picture thoughts.. 35 points from safety, 38 games to go. We'll be fine.

Difficult to asses the context of your post, but you're sounding a bit like the tin foil hat brigade. We're going to lose games - it's inevitable. Dust yourself off and move onto watching the next one.

Newcastle lost on Saturday, Villa aren't pulling up any trees at the minute so in context we're doing just fine. We didn't reach our recent standard on Saturday but that will happen in this league - we'll probably also lose games when we do play well.

We'll be ok, i'm sure of it.

Hecky's kept their feet on the ground

for the last 6 months and after the occasional defeat he's picked them up and got them going again, I don't think this time will be any different.

I reckon we will either win, lose or draw in our next match but don't quote me on that.

We all make mistakes. Not spotted one of yours.

Not quite sure what you're owning up to. Maybe i missed summat.

We weren't poor last Saturday. Reading were better than us. Many more will be better than us.

I think we need to dampen expectations.

Yet appreciate how marvelously we are competing.
