I wouldn’t expect any difference in the lads play or attitude, if there is it can only prove that the players have been holding back (for whatever reason,) and by that failing the club and letting us down. No one has a magic wand so l expect to see more of the same. As we all know patience is vital for any Barnsley fan!
I disagree. I think we lacked cutting edge up front so Schopp amended this but f cuked about with the midfield. A decent Head Coach doesn't do that. First common sense line-up will win us a game.
Hopefully whoever is in charge for the game can get some organisation, and maybe some self belief into the side, which would make a massive difference.
I disagree too, I think the unenthusiastic attitude of Schopp permeated the squad and his squad picks and subs likely disheartened the team a hell of a lot, now he's (maybe?) gone hopefully it might reignite the fire from last season. I think we'll see a much more positive Barnsley against Derby*. * If he's definitely gone...
Mental attitude is half the battle in the Championship. It's a lot easier to win if you have a good leader
I agree wholeheartedly The players aren’t at fault if what they’re being asked to do is nonsensical, if they’ve not been drilled into a coherent team, or if they’re demotivated by a string of results resulting from those errors.
Well maybe we can get Herbie Kane back ,get Caulley in the box for a start instead taking corners. Organise the middle with specialist midfielders instead of square pegs in round holes. It's been tough for new coach but to be fair he's hardly helped himself with falling out with players. And chopping and changing.
We will play better,Schopp stood there like a bag of blancmange, anybody with an ounce of passion will be better than him
I know your first name on team sheet First XI -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Subs -- -- -- -- -- -- Brittain
I think Joseph joined us about Oct last year? Val's choice, but I don't think they had worked together before. Wednesday will be interesting. He'll no doubt have his own ideas, but so far he has had about 8 months Val influence and ideas, 4 months Markus. I think he is more likely to tell the lads to go out and express themselves as per Val's model, but it's just an opinion, I have no basis. It is a chance for the lads to start afresh so I'm hoping they go out with no fear, better body language and give it a right good go.
I mean this is largely the same team that got us to the play-offs last season, they haven't become bad players over night.
