It was a great team effort but these two stood out for me. The shift Vickers put in was extraordinary especially defensively once we went down to 10 men, deserved man of the match. Luca looks like the old Luca to me, was everywhere in that game and the assist for Didzy's goal was superb, maybe the captaincy came a year too early for him but he's fully deserving of it now. Brilliant point against 12 men. You Reds.
Luca my man of match. Brilliant. Vickers’ feet are too quick for defenders at this level. It’s lovely to see him go past players. Had an engine today too, was all over and probably should’ve stayed on the pitch.
First time I’ve seen Vickers in the flesh, what a player he is, you could say a Rolls Royce of a player.
Really impressed with young Vickers he was outstanding and Connell looks like he’s getting back to his best.
So far the thing i like is Vickers is playing well but consistently well. A great attribute for a young lad. I suspect Kelly will now get his chance to start and lets see if we can see same.
There’s simply no comparison with the way we’ve started this season compared to last year. under Clarke we looked like a bunch of schoolboys for the first 10 or 15 mins at the start of every match.
Difference an intelligent, hard working and passionate head coach makes. I can see CH going all the way to the top, similar to what he did as a player.
Fully agree, Luca my MOTM, he was everywhere, put in sone right blocks. Every team needs their player with the rolled down socks and Vickers is great for that role, very quick tidy player. Just maybe sometimes a touch too many but he'll soon get his timing right.
Yea...link up between Vickers, Phillips and another was first class...sharp triangles with incisive passing, I was salavating at times...loved it, Bolton couldn't get near the ball.
Connell was my MotM, but I agree Vickers put in a great shift too. Just hoping there isn’t a ‘Harvey Barnes’-style recall clause in his loan deal.
I heard it from someone in the Leicester Supporters Trust that we asked to send him back due to the poor defensive side of his game, not that Leicester triggered any clause.
I'll be giving Vickers my MOTM vote, thought he was dangerous in attack and put in some proper hard graft for the cause. Connell is back to his best, if I could share the vote I would.
Thought connell was excellent today and I was very critical of him last season he was poor and admitted before poty awards he had a poor season. But today and v Plymouth was back to his best.
Hecky was critical on numerous occasions and there was one game where he let the guy he was due to take score at a set piece. He went back quite swiftly after that. Didn’t Barnes play for Leicester in the FA cup then hardly get any game time afterwards? Trust my mate very much, so no reason why she’d lie about such a thing.
