Would increase attendances in my view. More away fans. More derbies. Less travel costs. Less time to get home having lost away. See no reason not to.

If it reduces the possibility of us playing QPR again, I'm all for it.

Mentioned in another thread people are definitely thinking about this at lower levels and non league

it’s a good idea so has literally zero chance of happening

I'd be disappointed by that - for league one anyway. No more London / South Coast trips. I like a long distance away day.

Cleethorpes. Morecambe. Fleetwood. What’s not to like. So would you like to see league 2 and national league. Merge. Would still be a good idea.

No ta. Barnsley are a national football team not some two-bit regional amateur side

That's all well and good but we have to consider that things may never be the same again, certainly not for a good while. Better a 'two bit regional amateur side' than no side at all

That's true. I wasn't talking about Micky Finn's original post about the temporary change more those further down the thread who were suggesting it would be a good thing in general

Horrible idea. It's a national sport and making it regional will make it not as special and more small fry. Local derbies are special because they don't happen all the time. If they did simply because of geography not ability then they would lose meaning and not feel as meaningful. You'd get sick of playing the same teams all the time, miss the chance of going to some grounds and many fans love a long day away trip.

How the clubs would be split is just like the regional T20 tables for Cricket with the North being by far the hardest group to win.
