I worked in Wigan n'all Darf 30 years ago now in Pemberton.. Friday nights in the Goose Green Club, what a great place was. Wigan's a good little Town, Like a home from home..
Thanks for liking my tune kettlewell, I'm going to shamelessly bump this thread because it's ten time better than the troll that is Rich
I always thought that aswell mate. Same sort of people really. When it all boils down I come from three generations of miners and dont take long to meet the same kind of people in Wigan. The peir should be a world heritage site, their council dropped that ball
good shout Gimson, always preferred the Ooh Ooh song (but then again I was always a bit hyper if you know what i mean)
You lovely Irish Bar steward. Where did you dig this up from, forgotten it, made the hairs stand up. Awesome. Would I have known you? Local all nighters = mostly Empress ballroom, Tiffanys in Sheffield (used to help Richard Serling pack up and he'd give us a lift to train station in his saab) and one in Leeds (can't remember name - met Marc Almond there in around 1981), few others, 6'2" brickie from Darfield, not easy to miss LoL
Not bad Gimson, Billy Butler was a favourite I'd forgotten though. A bit like Mick Butler also from the seventies - although I never forgot him
