With social distancing of 2m and a 7.8 billion population I calculate you could fit them all in the North of England running from Cheshire - Staffordshire-Derbyshire-Nottinghamshire-Lincolnshire up to Scottish border. About 50,000 square kilometres.
In another random fact is it was 41 years since the previous time we woke up on a Monday morning following a Reds away victory at Hillsborough March 1938 to November 1979 If it's 41 years until the next time then ............. fill in the blanks
The Isle of Wight is 4 billion square feet (American billion). Population of the earth is 7.5 billion (Again, American). Even stood shoulder to shoulder, and leveling all trees and buildings, you wouldn't get everyone on. There are areas on the Isle of Wight where you couldn't stand shoulder to shoulder, the topography of the Island would make it impossible. Assuming it was like a billiard table, and giving everyone 2 feet squared like you suggested, you'd get a billion people on there. But to adhere to social distancing you'd want two metres squared per person. And that gives enough space for 95 million. I think that's a decent number for this planet. I reckon we should do it and go with survival of the fittest. But this is area, if you go with volume... Everyone on earth could be piled into the Grand Canyon and from half a mile up you wouldn't even see them. We'd take up such a small part of it we'd be just a few pixels on a wide angle lens.
Then I really recommend researching Bayes' Theorem and False Positives. It's mind blowing and very topical. This is expertly explained and a really good start: Then look at at how much we're spending on testing for Covid-19 and how much we spend on the treatment of disease. We're spending about 10 times more on informing people they've got Covid-19 when they haven't than we are on informing people they've got it when they have. And we're spending about 50 times more on informing people they've got Covid-19 when they haven't than we are on treating people who have actually got cancer.
#LeftyWarning If every billionaire in the US contributed to giving $3000 per household to help with this difficult year; They would still have left more money than they had at the beginning of the pandemic.
Another random fact I came across today , Jack Nicholas’s granddaughter got married at the weekend to ..... Todger Strunk .... !!! https://www.zola.com/wedding/christinaandtodger
I was relieved to hear the fact that London is going into tier 3 because of the new strain of virus and not because they’ve been out shopping, been on the **** and partying, many without masks or social distancing.
In Japan, there is a 400 year old tradition, that says, if a sumo wrestler can make your baby cry, then the baby will live a healthy life. Therefore ceremonies are often held, where a sumo wrestler will intentionally make a baby cry, often by growling in their face.
