......... insane number of fans, and incredible atmosphere, but good Lord, there are some unsafe scenes. That scaffolding on the Strand. Designed for a few builders to use, currently housing about 200 on five or six stories. Live on iPlayer.
There's another one further down, they haven't shown for a bit, but fair point, will edit. My lad's in the Baltic Fleet (great boozer) and he can barely move in or outside the pub.
It's crazy the turnout they have. Great to see but I bet getting a pint in a pub is going to be a reight tw.at!
My mate a United fan from Dundee has Liverpool as his second team and has gone all the way to Liverpool with his mate just to celebrate. Up to them I suppose Then again if Barnsley won the Premiership or FA Cup I would most probably be down to take in the frivolities in and around Wellington Street.
Apparently there's pics on social media showing packed out platforms in Crewe etc. Full of Liverpool shirted folk. Amazing really! I can recall them, as European Champions and in a quarter final League Cup tie, sending 5,000 tickets back to Oakwell. Different times, obviously..
I live about two minutes off the end of the M62 so it passed down the road by us- popped along to watch it. It was an amazing turnout - the girls have gone down to town to watch it again. Amount of people that have travelled to Liverpool is insane - friend of mine has flown over from Chicago to watch it. There's also a big music event going on so there must be around one million people in Liverpool today
I was going to join the lad, but had a sleep-in instead. 48 years after my Dad was going to take me to the parade, after European Cup win. A year later started supporting Barnsley and never looked back.
Just want to wish everyone who follows Liverpool on here all the best. After support I've had on here last few days. Top people.
My daughter was there but on the pavement not the scaffolding! Said they were told numerous times to get down, but once they're up there there's nothing much to be done. Makes up for the celebration they didn't have due to Covid. There were loads of fans outside Anfield yesterday during the match too. Can't wait for our next one!
