Not the performance (I thought we looked OK until the two sloppy/unlucky goals) but watching games without a crowd is just objectively *****. It was fine after lockdown in the run in last season but Jesus Christ we’ve got what could be a full season ahead of this to look forward to? The fun and life and almost everything that makes football football has been sucked out of it. And I say this as somebody who rarely gets to games due to living overseas. Even when we’re terrible and on a poor run I’m usually excited to tune in, this season it’s felt like more like a duty. I could barely mustered a cheer when we went one up today. I can’t be the only one surely?

I’ll still be sat here every week but I hope to god results pick up so it becomes a bit more watchable.

Life as we know it already is. We are purely machines tasked with surviving in laboratory conditions for as long as possible
