...is fundamentally a negative one. Score the first goal (particularly in the 94th minute) and we have a chance. If the opposition score first it will always be an uphill struggle. Not wishing to overreact, but I foresee another difficult season.
Agree too defensive and look for a one nil, we have goalscorers but they need chances to score plenty of em not the odd one or two haif chances, the fewer chances they have the more frustrated they become and the more they snatch at chances and mess it up.
The lack of pace all over, but particularly out wide, is a major issue. The likes of Ritzmaier gets selected every week because he fits into a rigid system that relies on keeping shape. I can’t see us necessarily conceding bucket loads of goals, but we’ll not score many either. 1-0 or 0-1 might be decent punts on the fixed odds.
For me Ritzmair isnt a wing back / winger, in fact he stops at the final third 'line'. Styles isn't a wing back. Chaplin seems off it totally and doesnt link up at all well with Woodrow. Our weak link in LB for me, Wiliams actually played ok. But the balance of the team just didn't look right and the tempo was way off what suits us. Slow when we needed to up the tempo and rushed it when we needed a foot on it.
