    Lets be kinder than that. Lets just say that he is still getting used to English conditions.

    I wrote a piece a few weeks ago musing upon why we have gone for foreign Chief Coaches since our new owners took over. They have so much to learn about the British game before they can become effective. However, the evidence from the top of our game seems to contradict that view. Most of the top coaches are foreign.

    Still getting used to it? If he hasn't got the hang of the Oakwell pitch after he's been here since November and it's now march then he is appallingly negligent. He works at Oakwell,, we train at Oakwell, his office is at Oakwell. it's an advantage he has over the vast majority of coaches in England. He can walk a few yards and inspect the pitch any day that he wants to.
    It's absolutely no excuse to say he doesn't know what our pitch is like because he's foreign

    It might look ok from a distance, but when you actually look closely at it, it’s shocking
