:) and especially if you don't attempt to turn and also don't intend to leave the car on the outside the prerequisite space to stay on track;)

Even the coders on the F1 2021 Codemasters Sim have more of a clue than Masi when it comes to rules. I tried the lunge adopted by MV and a) the AI car more often than not does not yield and a collision occurs of varying severity. Each time I get a warning from the stewards of causing a collision. Do that too many times and a penalty follows and ultimately disqualification.

Unfortunately, it is a pity they are a bit clueless when it comes to programming the track limits. Some corners you can repeatedly go miles wide with no penalty on others straddling the line incurs a warning and time penalty (incorrectly since all wheels must be off the track) to exceed track limits.

I prefer to race against AI as time trial listings show I am uncompetitive against human competition given how there are thousands of wannabes who seem capable of beating real world lap records by several seconds:D. The same thing happens when doing a 'casual 'five lap race on-line. I did my first yesterday (finished 9th out of 11) and the the winner was 17 seconds (over 3 seconds per lap) faster than Lewis Hamilton's actual track record!!!
I don't use any of the AIDS but even if I did I would be nowhere near the times these clowns seem capable of posting. I dont know how they did it because they disappeared off into the distance as soon as the race started. I was over half a lap behind after the 5 laps finished even though I was only about 4-6 seconds a lap off real life front lead race pace which is not too shabby given I have only had the new wheel pedal setup for a couple of months and still tweaking.
