I don't know but Eddie Cochran got 3 (steps to heaven). Buddy got there first though. Dave Dee,then a police officer, was one of the first people at the scene of Cochran's fatal car crash on the A4 near Bath.
Will be really missed when he retires will Root. Think far too often it's taken for granted that whenever England are in a batting crisis that Root will bail them out.
Known for hitting those sixes, the big Bopper that is, mind you Little Richard wasn't too bad either, then again, he'd give you the ''Heebie Jeebies'' when he was ''Slipping and Sliding'' whilst fielding . Never rated Johnny Burnett in the slips though ''Butterfingers'' springs to mind. Whilst Dean Martin was the Ian Botham of his day ''Wham Bam thank you Mam'' be that balling or batting Fast forward a tad Les Mckeown, who i always thought was a good umpire his call of ''Bye Bye Baby good Bye'' could be heard loudly ringing out at most grounds Going back to the oldies to finish on James Brown was always strutting his stuff, but I'll stop there with the memories. Like James Brown, i feel im .... ''Doing it to Death''
