How many players do you think we’ll sign this Summer?

    How many before deadline day?

And how many do you think will end up any good?

I think we’ll sign 3 permanent and 2-3 loans pre-deadline day but none before a significant outgoing.

My expectation is that the quality will be as scattergun as ever given the same individuals are involved.

1/2 before they return to training. A couple after players contracts run out. (+ new deal for Humphries )
More if we offload for good money.
A couple of loans afore season starts.
    You did ask. :)

I think there'll be five incomings this window, with two on the last day. There'll be seven outgoings, with three on the final day.
As for any of the incomers being any good, there'll be posters criticising each and every one of them at some point.

All dependant on outgoings so I honestly don’t have a clue. Majority of business will be late July and in August I’m guessing.

There was never going to be many signings this summer. The squads big & not many of them have much value so we aren’t going to pay people up to leave.

We all just need to get behind Mladenball & look forward to seeing the high line with defenders that can’t run.

    A goal keeper,2 full backs,2 wingers ,2 strikers.Another midfielder if Phillips goes.
Plenty of hard work and organization and we're ready to go.

Personally I’d want us to sign:
    - A right back with pace that can defend
    - A left back with pace that can defend
    - A centre back with pace than can defend
    - A defensive midfielder with a decent motor who can protect the the defence and cover for midfielders/fullbacks getting forward

If we lose any of Kellor-Dunn, Phillips, or Humphreys than I’d also want us to get decent replacements.

In reality I think we’d be lucky to get two of the former. Both will likely be out of contact players.
Money for any more will depend on sales.

Agree with that, also need to sort the goalkeeping situation, then there's wide players up top.
It's a big job turning around this squad, but this is what happens when you recruit to a set model.

I think either Flavell or Smith can do the job as goalkeeper - either would look better with a more solid defence in-front of them/without trying to play a high press without the necessary pace to allow for it.

We scored enough goals to be playoff contenders last year - a front five of Kellor-Dunn, Humphreys, Jalo, Phillips, and Russell is decent enough for our level. Perhaps you’d want a genuine striker open (with pace) or a more complete midfielder that will do the dirty work as well. Priority however has to be fixing the defence, and that’s where any spare budget should go.

Be interesting to say the least. A totally different system will mean converting player's into something we didn't sign them to play or we need to move them on. The last point comes with a big if we can. Can any of the wingbacks play in a 4 or wide in a front 3 suppose only time will tell. The crux of the matter is how many can we move on i suspect we are talking more than one window to right the wrongs, patience is needed but it's in short supply amongst us football fans.
