Last 2games have been WOW... Top draw, full commitment, focus, and lads look sharp and fit. Very happy and impressed well done Hecky and the Reds!!!

But lets face it, the squad is pretty thin. If any key players pick up injuries we could struggle e.g. Davies, Hourihane, Mawson, Roberts, and any more of the forwards!

I understand we are still in the market for a couple more to come in, to add competition and compliment the squad. I just hope no one leaves.

    In Hecky we trust!

Keeping our key players past August and brining in a couple more quality players will be Hecky's main priority. I really hope we can do both because I think we're on the verge of something pretty good.

    Re: Strengthening needed...and succession planning

The deal is that we acquire good young players with the right mental attitude to respond to good quality coaching and to develop into players who can comfortably play at the next level up. We profit if they are sold on and the process is a continuous conveyor belt, so that replacements are already in the process of being developed to fill the boots of those who move on. We need to be scouting now potential replacements for the likes of Hourihane, Mawson etc etc. I think that we probably are with MacDonald, but we will need more for the development squad. It would be particularly difficult to replace Hourihane. That's the deal. If a player gets enough rave reviews, other wealthy clubs won't be waiting until he is out of contract and we should benefit financially. Are we doing enough recruiting at the moment of key positions.?
