Does anyone have an experience in carpet / sofa cleaning - is it worth getting a professional in and if so, do you know of one or is there a bit of kit you can buy to do it yourself.

And before @Terry Nutkins starts, yes it’s spoff, everywhere

    TIA

Buy a Bissell. Cheaper than getting people in. Also hoover first.

You can hire them from Morrisons.

If you're close to town, I would suggest hire one from Timpson's (at the back of Morissons supermarket). It'll be about a third of the price and only take you about as long as someone else. That's what we did the other year

The machines at the Supermarkets will never clean as well as getting a professional in.
That said unless it’s really bad(almost Industrial level), they will clean perfectly adequately for most households and is cheaper.

I did this. Might seem expensive to start with but you save a fortune.
