I don't think it was a foul but it definitely should have been in row z before it reached Davies. Communication should have been better so both have to take some blame.
Lindsay is a good footballer, a bit of a player for a centre back, but there are times where he just doesn't have a defender's natural instinct. If my job was to defend, I'd be 'playing percentages' as Alan Hansen used to say. For anyone whose job it is to defend, that second goal was clearly a row Z moment. I wouldn't be taking risks there. He did something similar in the pre-season friendly against West Brom, where he was dispossessed in our area and W Brom scored. Still, if he didn't occasionally do that kind of thing, he wouldn't be our player.
