They do reckon that if you see a hedgehog out during the day there's something wrong with it. Particularly in winter.
Wow! I used to have an African pygmy hedgehog for a couple of years. She was at a nursery and distressed by the kids so I took her off their hands. She was a lovely little thing.
it was in the evening, seemed to be happily looking for food. I did read up and it suggested in mild winters they can delay hibernation until late December.
Before I had Winona I found a litter in my back garden, a mum and her litter, and a poor runt that was out on a limb. Called the RSPCA and they sent someone out and said to put them in a tub in the meantime with towels, cat food and water. Very cute. One thing Winona liked to do was go on her hamster wheel in the night, and she had a taste for strawberries! And meal worms but they made her fat. She was also very receptive to music, particularly this (I don't know why I'm telling you all this but she was a very special pet to me!): Groove Armada - At the River - YouTube
At 5 fast 5 this morning just as i was getting in to the car to set off to work i saw a very clear and bright shooting star. Little things eh.
