Is there a sell on clause for DKD?

Mansfield fans are obsessed with the idea that there is definitely one inserted in his contract but I was told different. Plus when we signed him nothing was mentioned anywhere about one. Not on our official website or theirs either.

Not one mentioned anywhere. They are clutching at straws.

There’d be no benefit for either club to mention it.
A sell on fee is usually private as all it will do is weaken our negotiating.
It’d be standard for it to be announced after he moved on to a different club

Wouldn't it strengthen our negotiating position if it were public knowledge that we needed more money for a sale to be in our interests because some of it was going to Mansfield?

I’d be surprised if there wasnt one. Its pretty common practice these days I dont think clubs generally publicise the terms of a transfer.

They do with sell-on clauses, or we do anyway - "we retain an interest in his future".

More common practice when the player is young and has the time/potential to get better. We paid the going rate for a player in his prime. I don't know whether there is a sell on clause or not but wouldn't be at all surprised to learn there isn't.

I thought id heard folk at the club say its unusual these days not to see some sort of sell on clause. (Khaled maybe)
A quick google seems to support this but ive no idea in this specific situation.

I know it’s a repeat but is there a sanity clause?
