Yes but Schopp thinks he needs more work. Doesn't rate him.

As I’ve said on another post, the singling out of this young man for criticism is looking to me like scapegoating. One muppet who sits near me was screaming abuse at him when he came onto the pitch the other night. Interestingly, the same moron screamed “get up” at the players as they were taking the knee before kickoff.

Maybe Vic should drift out wide or drop deep instead of trying to score, he won't get singled out then.

The interview, I heard, it was Giddings that singled out Adeboyejo, which I thought was unfair. He's getting himself into positions, was unlucky with his chances against Blackpool and Blackburn. His performance in general against Blackburn was pretty good, not so much at Blackpool.

But still, Schopp could've just batted it back with a better answer. Just "he needs to score", while true, isn't helpful.

Poor man management on the part of Schopp. Reading today's Chron it's self-evident that he takes no responsibility for the results instead laying the blame at the feet of players making wrong decisions. I accept that once they kick off there isn't a lot he can do until half-time. Being pragmatic though surely he must realise that, outside the transfer window, the Club's hands are tied somewhat from moving players on and recruiting players to replace them and the easiest option for the Board of a poorly performing team is to remove the Head Coach.

I'd certainly play him ahead of Oduor. :)

Yeah I'd been impressed with little bits I'd seem of Oduor but he was anonymous against Forest the other night. If you're playing that position you need to be in the game more like Freiser was on the right. I'd play Iseka if we're persisting with the three. I'd also like to see Cole.

At the risk of being accused of scapegoating, which it really isnt, we know what we're going to get from Adebayejo and Frieser and Oduor. As yet we don't know what we'll get from Iseka. I'd like him to get a proper run. Cole, I've never understood but he can't do worse than not scoring.
Similarly I'd like to see Benson and Gomes given a proper run in the positions they were brought to play in rather than 45 minutes one game, dropped the next etc.

I agree, with Freiser and Adeboyejo you're getting effort but apart from that f@@k all. It's only fair we should change it up and give the other two lads a chance. Spot on.

One of his first comments in an exchange today was “it’s up to me first of all, to find the solutions”.

You thought Frieser was involved in the game more than Oduor on Wednesday night? How many Special Brews had you had by kick off?

Maybe when Vic has scored more than 50 goals for us then he won’t get singled out.

But then Woodrow does get singled out anyway so...

I'm sure that will do Victor the world of good, his head coach singling him for criticism and stupidly failing to acknowledge his own shortcomings. Expect more of the same tomorrow then.

I definitely thought that he made a positive impact after coming on against Forest. He put himself about, roughed up the defence a bit. He is not going to grab us twenty goals a season, but he is good for a fox-in-the-box type to be alongside and pick up the scraps. Not yet a good finisher, but still brings something to the team.
