as expected really , based on the book by his mrs it was never going to portray ian curtis in the best light , quite sad and certainly not the usual rock star fare.. worth a watch if you have any passing interest in joy divison and there music etc.

I thought it was a good film and well balanced

Did you think any of it was unfair on Curtis?

There's only so much you can stick in a film, I'd have preferred more on the band getting together and Curtis input into the band, that was glossed over a bit. I don't think it was particulary unfair on him though, he was epileptic after all, did cheat onhis missus, and did string himself up in his kitchen.

it wasnt unfair as such cos he did cheat on her , its always hard for a dead man to have his say i guess ! would have loved the film to be more about the music and not the man...

why did debbie write the book in the first place?? exorcise some ghosts ? cash ?? certainly puts a different spin on the rock star life style
