as expected really , based on the book by his mrs it was never going to portray ian curtis in the best light , quite sad and certainly not the usual rock star fare.. worth a watch if you have any passing interest in joy divison and there music etc.
I thought it was a good film and well balanced
Did you think any of it was unfair on Curtis?
There's only so much you can stick in a film, I'd have preferred more on the band getting together and Curtis input into the band, that was glossed over a bit. I don't think it was particulary unfair on him though, he was epileptic after all, did cheat onhis missus, and did string himself up in his kitchen.

RE: I thought it was a good film and well balanced it wasnt unfair as such cos he did cheat on her , its always hard for a dead man to have his say i guess ! would have loved the film to be more about the music and not the man... why did debbie write the book in the first place?? exorcise some ghosts ? cash ?? certainly puts a different spin on the rock star life style
