    Anything but 3 points will be the final fat nail singing as it's firmly screwed into the coffin lid...

    I watched the Wigan game last night, out of interest; they were by no means perfect, but they looked well up for the scrap, and defended their box as if their life depended it on. Morsy was exceptional; a real captain's performance (as was the other lad in CM, but I can't remember his name).

    Clutching: maybe one or two get sold before Saturday and that disturbs the camp; it doesn't seem likely.

    I would be delighted (but beyond surprised) if we can even score on Saturday, let alone take anything from the game.

    I'm gonna say probably not, but we finally got the Loftus Road monkey off our backs - is ending 2 hoodoos in the space of a few weeks too much to ask for? You never know...

    On the subject of Wigan, one worry/thought I've had.

    Conceivably, if a 12 points deduction put them 3rd from bottom and us 4th from bottom....a reduction in their points deduction, upon appeal, could see us switch places.

    That would be a real Schmidtty way to go down wouldn't it?

    Yes Wigan changed the manager we faffed around - New manager recalled Morsey liked the look of him so by the time we finally got round to asking him to sign Wigan had given him a much better offer to stay . If we had got everything done and dusted so he became a Barnsley player on 1st January he would have been playing for us and that would have been it
