Mentioned it in a couple of other places, but deserves his own thread.

Set pieces were fantastic today. Great technique on them with the backspin. Couple of good other crosses in the first half too. Frieser should have buried it but he jumped too early

Said it in another thread, probably the best I’ve seen him play for us, set pieces were very good. Mowatt should’ve scored his header too, was a free header.

I think him playing central midfield next to Mowatt makes more sense than at left wing back. I like wing backs to have pace to go up and down, like Williams and Oduor both do.

As one of his fiercest critics, I think that he was OK today.

Was ok, nothing more. I think his standard has been that low were now praising half decent performances. Still not good enough in reality.

One of of the top three performers first half. Even an argument he was our best performer.

Don't even know where to start with rating any of the players second half. Not because it was a shambles from the perspective of how we played, just the scrappy goal and the second red. We were still the better team with ten men.

I've been heavily critical of him, but played well today. His passing & free kicks were the best out of our midfielders. Maybe he's finally coming good. Struber must see something in him.

Despite the fact that he should have had 2 assists - not his fault that Frieser and Mowatt couldnt score with free headers when he put the ball straight on their heads.
Ive been one of his biggest critics but I couldnt find a lot wrong with his performance today definitely one of our top 3 performers

I’m not sure he deserved his own thread, in response to the OP.

He was ok today to be fair. His set piece delivery was good and he created a couple of chances. But I wouldn’t go as far as to say he looked good - though to be fair he played as well as anyone in yellow.

For the first time (actually, maybe second, he was ok at boro too), I’d say he warrants selection in the next game.

He’s got a good left foot which he sometimes uses to good effect - especially from dead balls.
But for me he just doesn’t bring enough to the table.
He’s not quick enough and his short passes are often heavy - plus he never shoots.

He played well. I couldn't fault any of the players really. A match to forget and move on from, knowing the performance is there. Hopefully the confidence isn't affected by the two losses. It shouldn't be.

Completely agree. Played very well first half, not just his set pieces but lots of nice passing moves down the left hand side.

I think it was either his first or second home game where he had a really good game & I thought we’d signed a gem. Today is the first time he got close to them levels.

    Hope he keeps it up.
