How come the press are not vilifying him for that blatant dive yesterday if it was salah there would be uproar
What an odd post. Sterling's been treated unfairly by the press for most of his career. Also, are we talking about the "dive" for the penalty? Cos it was clearly a pen to me.
Stick a red shirt on him and it was almost identical to ours past week. Slightest contact and dove to the ground
Think it was in the first half. The defender breathed on him and Woodrow flung himself to the ground. It was embarrassing really. The ref didn't book him for some reason.
They don't anymore though do they? Therefore, players don't hesitate to try it on. Have the referees been told to be lenient on this or have they just "forgotten"?
It's weird at the minute. We're constantly told by pundits that players have to go down to get decisions - they're often penalised for trying to stay on their feet. I've no solution mind.
Think that’s a big part of the issue, it is accepted now in footballing circles. Players etc don’t think it’s wrong where as fans often still do. I can recall Owen saying he was taught at an early age about how to win a penalty. It’s a difficult call that I also have no answer for, I want my players to stay on their feet when possible and not look to win penalties, but equally don’t want us to lose out.
Worked a treat for him at Oakwell - no penalties (outside the box) but did get 2 players sent off.....
Mad that you chose Salah. Surely Grealish would be the better option for your diatribe. Unless you’re a closet horrible red mucky scouser.
What's happened? I hope the b&stard hasn't bought his mother another sink or something - or been out for his breakfast with a stern expression on his face.
