The black voice is condemning it too, but you’re ignoring that either because you’re blinkered by the ‘anti liberal’ narrative or because you actually support the racism and see this as a way of detracting from the real point.
You have a point, but it is learned behaviour, no ones born racist, logic dictates that if it can be taught in, then surely it can be taught out.
Why does racism persist in football? We throw our hands up in horror at the Racism at Hillsbro, at some of the songs sung at matches, at the fact a Fulham supporter was racially attacked. And in all probability this will go on in one way or another all season and the club will condemn it and nothing will change. Endless posts on this site from people patting themselves on the back for condemning racism which do very little if anything to stop the problem. Anyone done anything constructive to get that club to tackle racism?
Yes. I contacted the club last season via email, and I know that at least one other poster has done the same, whist also speaking directly to a member of staff. I don't know what else to do to be fair, any bright ideas?
The white supporter will do nothing because ultimately racism isn't seen as his/her problem. Whilst the white guys are making the most noise then the black voice wont be heard. (Is the white voice aware of this.....?)
So just out of interest... after multiple people have said they would and do report racist incidents, that the club are investigating and encouraging people to report racist incidents and working with Kick It Out, and that we have an absolutely miniscule representation of BAME fans in our town and in attendance for us... what are you proposing be done in addition to this?
What black supporters? They just stay away, there is no voice. In your world the Jews would have been wiped out because instead of liberating them we’d have just waited for them to overthrow the Nazis. I’m actually reading this as... if you white guys stop sticking up for the victims we can just get on with doing whatever we want cos there’s so few black fans they’re easily ignored.
