I starting to think that Schopp is being told how to play these games by someone higher up. He came in with a preferred 4321 formation, a formation that we haven't seen. The owners weren't happy that we didn't sell a player for big money despite finishing 5th and suggest it was because of the style. I conclude therefore that Schopp has been told to keep the formation that did us well last season but change the style.
They don't need to. They saw that we finished 5th playing 343. Just change the style to something "more pleasing on the eye" and boom - £10 million players all over the park......oh wait!
Yeah, but we could still play 1-1-8 and they wouldn't have a clue. What I mean is even if that's what they told Schopp to do, I don't think they'd know if he followed their instructions or not.
