    Does anyone ever remember it being indicative of how a season will go? I remember some great pre-seasons followed by 10 months of utter dross and equally some awful pre-seasons followed by great league performances

    Very good point. Means very little as it's near impossible to recreate the intensity of league games. I was a bit worried after today's game but can remember going to watch us play Huddersfield in the relegation season and being quite impressed with us.

    Chesterfield away. Dreadful game, Lost 1-0. Jovo Bosancic looked very poor. The rest is history.

    Last season? Didn't we win every pre season game and then get promoted?
    Not absolutely certain but I think so.

    Thought we lost 2-3 at home to West Brom in 2018 pre-season but, as you, I'm not certain..

    Lost to WBA, and drew with hull and some obscure Hungarian team. Only teams we beat were York, Salford and Gainsborough. Wasn't the most promising of pre seasons.
