Maybe to make it simple for you. Flog all your good players and replacing them with ones that might be good in 2 years but for now are fairly poor at the level they are being asked to compete at means you will get relegated. The season we got relegated with Barnes and mcBurniw we had sold all our good players and replaced them with less able ones.

So to hold it in your mind. Selling all your best players will get you relegated. It’s a pretty simple concept. It’s why most teams don’t do it because they know the consequences. I

Harvey Barnes was playing out of his skin. Scored the equaliser against Norwich away and then was dropped for the game vs Cardiff City. I think the dressing room was lost because the 17 match winless run was the most pathetic football I'd the displeasure of viewing.

P.H also let Mowett ( who had over 100 Championship games) go out on loan. The same with Stefan Payne.Considering we got relegated with one goal didn't we shoot our selves in the foot a little.

We sold unproven players in the championship and brought in unproven players in the championship..

Anybody who claims Pinnock, Lindsay or Moore have had success at this level are incorrect based on their stats at this level...

So they are equally under the same scrutiny at this level..

    In fact -
Davies - not even made the 1st team in a team who have now conceded 13 goals and sit rock bottom of the league winless.. Still don't understand that move when he had just broken into Welsh setup.
Moore - No goals yet.. he'd be getting slated on here by now. Wigan below us in the table..
Pinnock - Not heard much about him at Brentford bu they are also on the same number of points as us. He was prob best of players who left jury still open on him.
Lindsay - IMO not championship quality due to pace.. In a stoke team who have already leaked 13 goals this season, bottom of the table on 1 point.. He'd be getting slated on here by now..

So those claiming it is the fact that we have sold these players that has cost us, just think how those mentioned above are getting on in the champ.

That’s not how bookies odds work.
They’re based on bets placed; they are calculated to protect the bookies not to predict an outcome.

If bookies odds were an accurate prediction of outcomes, there’d be no point in anyone gambling

Yes I get that, what i ment was as it is fairly likely we will go down they aren't going to offer long odds on it from the start as you say to protect themselves.

Best summary and response to all that insist that we are doomed because of the transfer window.

If you look at the predictions written by actual pundits, the picture is very different though - and certainly far from likely that we’ll go down.

Wouldn't say far from likely. But I'd guess the bookies starting price is based off a more statistical outlook. We have struggled to establish ourselves as anything other than strugglers at this level for the last 18 years. Throw in the increased chance of newly promoted teams going down and there you are.
Then as you say bookies respond to bets placed, if I were neutral looking in I would pick us out as one to go down.

    The
They were all our best players with a better chance of making it in the Championship than the rest. What they are doing at other clubs isn’t relevant they fitted our system and were part of the best defence in L1. A defensive unit takes time and work to gel. It’s reasonable to say 6 months before they develop and understanding. Ours have to do that whilst adjusting to a league they have never played in.
